Abstrak
ABSTRACT I Wayan Sumiana. 2013. The Effect of Implementation of Problem Based Instruction toward the Students’ Critical Thinking on Mathematic Subject (Experimental Study on Students at the Xth Grade of SMAN 2 Gorontalo in Distance Sub-Material Tridimensional Room). Gorontalo. Department of Mathematics Education. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The principal supervisor was Drs. Sumarno Ismail, M.Pd and the co-supervisor was dra. Lailany Yahya, M.Si. The aim of the study was to know the difference of the students’ critical thinking on Mathematic subject which was taught by Problem Based Instruction and conventional learning model. Method of the study used bias experiment with posttest only control group design research. Population of this study was the whole students at the Xth grade of SMAN 2 Gorontalo school year 2012/2013. The sample was taken from 2 classes by using cluster simple random sampling. Data analyzed by using t-test independent. From the data analysis found that students’ critical thinking by using Problem Based Instruction was higher than conventional learning method.
