SKRIPSI. Dibawah bimbingan Dr. Tedy Machmud, S.Pd, M.Pd dan Drs. Majid, M.Pd. Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Universitas Negeri Gorontalo.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kontekstual (Contextual Teaching And Learning/CTL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII2 SMP Negeri 07 Telaga Biru pada materi Operasi Aljabar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII2 yang berjumlah 31 orang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kontekstual (Contextual Teaching And Learning/CTL). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan atau observasi dan pemberian tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada siklus I terdapat 16 dari 31 siswa (51,61%) yang dikenai tindakan memperoleh nilai diatas 75.persentase keberhasilan siswa pada siklus I belum mencapai indikator yang ditetapkan, untuk itu perlu dilanjutkan ke siklus berikutnya. Belum tercapainya indikator, disebabkan persentase kegiatan guru mencapai 71,84%, kegiatan siswa 72,17% dan penilaian sikap siswa 71,43% pada kategori cukup. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut yang belum mencapai indikator pada siklus I maka dilaksanakan perbaikan pada siklus II. Hasil tindakan pada siklus II menunjukan bahwa 31 dari 31 siswa (100%) yang dikenai tindakan memperoleh nilai diatas 75. Persentase kegiatan guru mencapai 88,06%, kegiatan siswa 92,34%, dan penilaian sikap siswa 81,98%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa "Model Pembelajaran Kontekstual (Contextual Teaching And Learning/CTL) pada pembelajaran materi Operasi Aljabar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII2 SMP Negeri 07 Telaga Biru".

This research going to know whether applying Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method can increase the result study of mathematic at students class VIII2 in SMPN 07 Talaga Biru on algebra operation. Subject of this research is the whole of students class VIII2 that consist of 31 of students. This research is class action research which take two cycle by applying contextual teaching and learning (CTL). Technique of collecting the data by do observation and testing. The result of research showed that in cycle I there are 16 of 31 students (51.61%) who got action with the value up of 75. The percentage of students success in cycle 1 did not achieve the indicator that have been made, so that, it is important to continue to the next cycle. The indicator did not achieve because the percentage teacher activity 71.84%, students activity 72.17% and students attitude evaluation 71.43% on category is enough. Based on that result, the researcher continue to cycle II. As the result of cycle II showed that 31 of 31 students (100%) that got action with the value up of 75. The percentage teacher activity 88.06%, students activity 92.34% and students attitude evaluation 81.98%. It can concluded that by applying "Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Method on Algebra Operation Can Increase Result Study Mathematic at Students Class VIII2 in SMPN 07 Talaga Biru.
