Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 5 Gorontalo pada Materi Keliling dan Luas Lingkaran dengan Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Structured Numbered Heads (SNH). Penelitian dilakukan di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Gorontalo dengan jumlah siswa 36 orang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan secara kolaboratif antara peneliti dan guru. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, siklus pertama terdiri dari tiga pertemuan dan siklus kedua teridiri dari dua pertemuan. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar observasi kegiatan guru, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan tes tertulis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan tes tertulis.
Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Structured Numbered Heads (SNH) di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Gorontalo dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Hal ini ditunjukan pada hasil kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika mengalami peningkatan dari 69,24% di siklus I menjadi 84,52% di siklus II.
Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika, Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Structured Numbered Heads (SNH), Keliling dan Luas Lingkaran.

The research was conducted at Grade VIII Junior High School SMP Negeri 5 Gorontalo by involving 36 students. This classroom action research collaborated with the teachers; it was implemented in two cycles. The first cycle consisted of three meetings and the second cycle incorporated two meetings. Instruments in this research were observation sheet of teacher activity, observation sheet of student activity and written test. The data were collected by observation and written test.
Implementation of learning using Structured Numbered Heads (SNH) Cooperative Learning Model at Grade VIII Junior High School SMP Negeri 5 Gorontalo can improve students' ability in mathematics problem-solving. This is proved by the result of students' ability that is increased from 69.24% in the first cycle to 84.52% in the second cycle.
