Permasalahan yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kegiatan menanya dalam pembelajaran fisika materi gelombang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan kegiatan menanya dalam pembelajaran fisika materi gelombang di SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi, angket dan tes. Hasil observasi menunjukan bahwa rata-rata persentase aktifitas kegiatan menanya guru pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 66,66% dan pada pertemuan kedua sebesar 84,52%. Sedangkan persentase rata-rata aktifitas kegiatan menanya siswa pada pertemuan pertama untuk masing-masing indikator yaitu pada indikator pengungkapan pertanyaan secara jelas mencapai 38,27%, pemberian acuan mencapai 53,09%, pemusatan pertanyaan mencapai 45,99%, pemindahan giliran mencapai 43,21%, penyebaran pertanyaan mencapai 37,35%, pemberian waktu berfikir mencapai 32,1%, dan pemberian tuntutan mencapai 45,37%. Untuk pertemuan kedua persentase rata-rata aktifitas kegiatan menanya siswa pada indikator pengungkapan pertanyaan secara jelas mencapai 57,72%, pemberian acuan mencapai 56,79%, pemusatan pertanyaan mencapai 50%, pemindahan giliran mencapai 51,85%, penyebaran pertanyaan mencapai 47,22%, pemberian waktu berfikir mencapai 51,85%, dan pemberian tuntutan mencapai 54,94%. Berdasarkan hasil angket respon siswa, persentase pada kegiatan menanya yaitu 42,81% menunjukkan minat siswa, sedangkan pada hasil tes belajar siswa menunjukkan bahwa dari 27 orang siswa hanya 19 orang siswa yang tuntas.

This research focus on the problem of activities in learning physics of material waves. The purpose of this research is to describe the activities of ask in learning physics material waves in SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. The data collection techniques in research using observation sheets, questionnaires and tests. The result is to show that the average percentage of teachers are activities in the first meeting is 66.66% and in the second meeting is 84.52%. While the average percentage of students ask at the first meeting for each of the indicators is in answer the question clearly is reached 38.27%, giving a reference is 53.09%, the concentration of questions is 45.99%, the removal of the turn is 43, 21%, the spread of the question is 37.35%, giving time to think is 32.1%, and the provision of demand is 45.37%. For the second meeting a percentage of average activity in indicators that the students answer the question clearly is 57.72%, giving a reference is 56.79%, the concentration of questions is 50%, the removal of the turn is 51.85%, the spread of the question is 47, 22%, giving of time thinking ris51.85%, and the provision of demand is 54.94%. Based on the results of student questionnaire responses, the percentage of the activity ask that 42.81% showed interest in students, while the results of student showed that out of 27 students only 19 students who pass.
