Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Fisika, Jurusan Fisika, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing I Prof. Dr. Mursalin, M.Si dan Pembimbing II Dewa Gede Eka Setiawan, S.Pd, M.Sc.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung pada materi tekanan zat cair. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode The Experimental Design dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Limboto yang populasinya adalah seluruh kelas VIII. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik cluster Random Sampling. Kemudian yang menjadi kelas perlakuan adalah kelas VIII4 dan kelas VIII2 yang berjumlah 20 orang siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Uji t untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian uji t yang diperoleh adalah thitung > ttabel atau 11.44 > 1.68 dengan kata lain thitung berada diluar daerah penerimaan hipotesis Ho (Ho ditolak) yang berarti menerima hipotesis alternatif (H1 diterima). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan hasil belajar yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung.

The study is experimental research that aims to see the difference in the improvement of experimental results using a guided inquiry model compared with control class using direct learning model on the liquid pressure material. The study used the method The Experimental Design with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research is conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Limboto whose population is all of class VIII. The sample in this research using technique cluster Random Sampling. Then the class of treatment is class VIII4 and class VIII2 which amounted to 20 students. The data analysis tecniques use t-Test to test the proposed hypothesis. The result of t-test is obtained tcount > ttable or 11.44 > 1.68 in other words t aritmetic is outside the acceptance area of hypothesis Ho (Ho rejected) which means accept alternative hypothesis (H1 accepted). Thus it can be concluded that there is a difference between student learning outcomes using a direct learning model.
