Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis cerita tentang peran hutan mangrove yang valid, praktis dan efektip dalam pembentukan karakter cinta alam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model R&D (Research and Development). Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas IV SD, untuk uji terbatas 1 dilaksanakan di SDN 01 Buntulia dengan jumlah siswa 10 orang sedangkan uji terbatas II dilaksanakan di SDN 07 Dulupi dengan jumlah siswa 20 orang.Hasil penelitian (1) Menghasilkan produk berupa bahan ajar berbasis buku cerita yang menarik dengan isi cerita yang membahas pemanfaatan sumberdaya alam salah satunya hutan mangrove. (2) Validasi bahan ajar berupa buku cerita 81%-94% dengan kategori sangat valid. (3) Aktivitas siswa uji terbatas I 78%-93% dengan kategori baik dan sangat baik sedangkan uji terbatas II 89%-96% dengan kategori sangat baik, keterlaksanaan uji terbatas I dan uji terbatas II menghasilkan nilai 100% dengan kategori sangat baik serta angket respon uji terbatas I 78%-90% dengan kategori baik dan sangat baik dan uji terbatas II 81%-94% dengan kategori sangat baik. Keefektifan bahan ajar dengan melihat karakter siswa dari nilai Gain mengalami peningkatan dari uji terbatas I >70% dan uji terbatas II >89% dengan kategori efektif, nilai kinerja ilmiah rata-rata uji terbatas I 0.66% dan uji terbatas II 0,86% dengan kategori efektif. Berdasarkan temuan hasil peneliti dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar berupa buku cerita tentang peran hutan mangrove memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektip dalam meningkatkan karakter cinta alam pada siswa kelas IV SD diwilayah pesisr dan hasil belajar siswa.

This developmental research aims to develop a valid, practical and effective instructional media by integrating the story of the roles of mangrove forest to promote eco-personality to students. It employed R&D (Research and Development) model. The subject involved grade IV students in selected elementary schools. The limited test 1 was conducted in elementary school SDN 01 Buntulia with a total of ten students. Furthermore, the limited test 2 was carried out at SDN 07 Dulupi consisting of 20 students. The outcomes of this research are (1) an instructional media, i.e. a textbook that integrate the story of the roles of mangrove forest. (2) The validation of the book reaches 81%-94%, indicating the high validity of the book. (3) The percentage of the studentsâ activity in the limited test I and II ranges from 78%-93% and 89%-96% respectively with the very good category. The implementation of both tests is in the very good category, 100%. The survey response of the limited test I and II range from 78%-90% and 81%-94% with the category good and very good for the limited test I and very good for the limited test II. It is revealed that there is an increase in the effectiveness of the instructional media, based on the studentsâ character and the Gain value, from the limited test I >70% to >89% in the limited test II; it is effective category. The value of scientific performance in the test I and II is 0.66% and 0.86% respectively with the effective category. All in all, the instructional media based on a storybook of the roles of mangrove meet all the criteria to promote the eco-personality of the students.
