Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Jurusan Pendidikan Kimia, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (UNG). Pembimbing I Prof. Dr. Astin P. Lukum, M.Si dan pembimbing II Julhim S. Tangio, S.Pd, M.Pd.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Postest-Only Control Design. Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan Inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo, Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel berjumlah 57 siswa yang terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas XI IPA5 sebagai eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 28 siswa dan kelas XI IPA4 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 29 siswa. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri dan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes sebagai instrumen yaitu tes materi asam dan basa. Hasil uji validitas tes menunjukkan 20 soal valid dan hasil reliabilitas tes menunjukkan tingkat reliabilitas tinggi yaitu 0,78. Data penelitian diperoleh dari tes hasil belajar (Post-Test). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji t untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil analisis data untuk hasil belajar menunjukkan bahwa dalam taraf signifikan = 0,05 dengan dk = n1 + n2 = 55 diperoleh nilai thitung > ttabel atau 5,816 > 1,673. H0 berada pada daerah penolakan atau dengan kata lain menerima H1. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan Inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo.

The research was an experiment research by having postest-Only Control Design as the research design. The research aimed to find out the effect of the use of inquiry approach to learning outcomes of students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Gorontalo, Academic Year 2014/2015. the sample of research was class XI IPA5 as the experiment class with total students were 29 students and class XI IPA4 as the controll class with total students were 30 students. Technique of collecting the data used test instrument. The test was 20 numbers of multiple objective test. Data analysis used hypothesis test criteria which H0 is acceptable if ttable = tcount or H0 is rejected if ttable â tcount. Based on the research result and analysis, it resulted the value of tcount > ttable or 5,816 > 1,673, thus H0 was in rejected area therefore the H1 was accepted. Hence, it could be concluded that there was an effect of the use of inquiry approach to learning outcomes of students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo.
