Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kemampuan pemahaman siswa pada konsep titrasi asam basa menggunakan diagnostik three-tier mutliple choice test pada siswa kelas XI jurusan analisis kimia di SMK Negeri 1 Gorontalo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan populasi berjumlah 77 siswa dan sampel berjumlah 52 siswa yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah three tier multiple choice test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman siswa pada konsep titrasi asam basa sebagai berikut : sebanyak 42,83% paham konsep, 18,7% tidak paham konsep, 38% miskonsepsi. Tipe-tipe miskonsepsi tersebut terdiri dari 7,28% kesalahan positif, 12,51% kesalahan negatif, 21,52% miskonsepsi. Disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman siswa berada pada kategori cukup.

This study aims at finding out the description of students' understanding on acid base titration concept using the three-tier multiple choice test diagnostic on grade XI Student of chemical analysis department, SMK Negeri 1 Gorontalo. This study is descriptive qualitative research with 77 population and 52 students is samples taken using purposive sampling. The instrument in this study ins three-tier multiplr choice test. This study reveals that students' ability in understanding the acid base titration concept is a follow : 42.83% understand the concept, 18.7% do not understand the concept, 38% experience misconception. The type of misconception are: 7.28% positive mistake, 12.51% negative mistake, 21.52% misconception. It is concluded that the students' understanding is within the moderate category
