Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan memahami konsep pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-test dan post-test control group design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Telaga Biru. Sampel berjumlah 44 siswa yang tersebar didua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen berjumlah 22 siswa dan kelas kontrol berjumlah 22 siswa. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes sebagai instrumen yaitu tes materi larutan penyangga. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji anakova untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil statistika diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas eksperimen yaitu 2,34 dan nilai rata-rata post-tes yaitu 37,20. Sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 11,02 dan nilai rata-rata post-tes yaitu 30,12. Hasil analisis data untuk hasil belajar menunjukkan bahwa dalam taraf signifikan 0,05 diperoleh nilai Fhitung > Ftabel atau 62,606 > 2,83. H0 berada pada daerah penolakan atau dengan kata lain menerima H1. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap Kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi larutan penyangga.

This study aimed to examine the effect of problem-based learning strategies to the ability to understand the concept of the material buffer solution. This study was an experimental study. The study design used is a pre-test and post-test control group design. The research was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Telaga Biru. Samples numbered 44 students spread on two classes, totaling 22 students experimental and control class totaled 22 students. Class experiments using problem-based learning strategies and classroom control using conventional learning. Collecting data using the test as an instrument that is the test material buffer solution. Data analysis was performed using Anacova test to test the hypothesis of the study. Based on the results of statistical average values obtained pre-test experimental class is 2,34 and the average value of the post-test is 37,20. As for the control class average value of pre-test at 11,02 and the average value of the post-test is 30,12. The results of data analysis to study results show that the significant level of 0,05 was obtained Fcount > Ftable or 62,606 > 2,83. H0 is in the region of rejection or otherwise accept H1. It can be concluded that there are significant problem-based learning strategies to the ability of students' understanding on the material buffer solution.
