Aprilia Luawo, 2016. Upaya Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Dengan Metode Constructive Controversy Pada Materi Asam Basa Kelas XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Skripsi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kegiatan guru, keaktifan siswa dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode Constructive Controversy pada materi asam basa bagi siswa kelas XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dua siklus dengan tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan tes, dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode Constructive Controversy dapat meningkatkan kegiatan guru (dari 70,52% pada siklus I menjadi 86,83% pada siklus II), keaktifan siswa meningkat (dari 69% pada siklus I menjadi 89% pada siklus II) dan hasil belajar (pencapaian persentase dimensi pengetahuan meningkat dari 45,16% pada siklus I menjadi 92,86% pada siklus II; persentase dimensi sikap siswa pada kegiatan diskusi meningkat dari 45,16% menjadi 100% pada siklus II dan untuk kegiatan praktikum sebesar 67,74% menjadi 100% pada siklus II; persentase dimensi keterampilan siswa pada kegiatan diskusi sebesar 41,94% menjadi 100% pada siklus II dan untuk kegiatan praktikum sebesar 64,52% menjadi 100% pada siklus II.

This research aims at investigating the teacher's activity, the students' activeness, and the increase of students' learning achievement by applying Constructive Controversy Method on Acid-base Topic at Grade XI IPA 4 of SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo of 2015/2016 Academic Year. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles as each cycle consists of planing, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects are students at grade XI IPA 4 of SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo. The techniques of data collection are test and observation. Data analysis uses qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The research findings show that the application of Constructive Controversy Method can increase teacher's activity (from 70,52% in cycle I to 86,83% in cycle II), studensts' activeness (from 69% in cycle I to 89% in cycle II), and students' learning achievement (the achievement of the percentage of knowledge dimension increase from 45,16% in cycle I to 92,86% in cycle II; the percentage of students' attitude dimension in discussion activity increase from 45,16% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II and in practicum activity, it increases from 67,74% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II; the percentage of students' skill dimension in discussion activity increases from 41,94% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II and in practicum activity, it increases from 64,52% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II).
