Abstrak
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada materi larutan penyangga di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Telaga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan atau observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Telaga yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Data dari penelitian ini diperoleh dari data hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan data hasil pengamatan kegiatan guru dan keaktifan siswa melalui lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dari 63,91% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 80,89% pada siklus II. Kegiatan guru meningkat dari 65% pada siklus I menjadi 86,66% pada siklus II. Keaktifan siswa meningkat dari 52,74% pada siklus I menjadi 82,42% pada siklus II.

This study is intended to improve students' critical thinking ability through Problem Based Learning model on buffer solution material at Grades XI Senior High SMA Negeri 1 Telaga. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles with each cycle consisting of phases, such as action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Furthermore, this study involved 31 students of Grade XI MIA 1 Senior High SMA Negeri 1 Telaga as the subjects. The data were further collected by using tests and observations. Moreover, the data were analyzed by employing qualitative descriptive analysis technique. All data from this research were obtained from students' critical thinking skill test result and teacher activity and student activity observation through observation sheet. The results show that the application of Problem Based Learning model can improve students' critical thinking ability from 63.91% in the first cycle increased to 80.89% in cycle II. Teacher activity increased from 65% in cycle I to 86.66% in cycle II. Student activity increased from 52.74% in cycle I to 82,42% in cycle II.
