Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman siswa melalui tes essay dengan teknik penyelesaian menggunakan permainan bola basket pada materi konsep mol. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas XI IPA 3 di SMA Terpadu Wira Bakti Gorontalo yang dibagi dalam dua kelompok. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan didapatkan nilai rata-rata kelompok 1 dan 2 berturut-turut sebesar 91,67% dan 94,64%. Sedangkan per individu hanya tiga orang yang mendapatkan nilai dibawah 80.

This research aims to describe students' understanding through essay tests with Technique of Solving Using Basketball Game on mole concept materials. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach. The sample of this research is 20 students of class XI IPA 3 in Integrated High School Wira Bakti Gorontalo which is divided into two groups. The results of this study showed the average value of groups 1 and 2 respectively of 91.67% and 94.64%. While per individual only three people who score below 80.
