HERDIANTO GANI. 2014. "Pemetaan Tingkat Kerawanan Longsor di Kota Gorontalo". Prodi Pendidikan Geografi Jurusan Ilmu Teknologi Kebumian Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tingkat kerawanan longsor di Kota Gorontalo untuk mendapatkan informasi tingkat kerawanan dan penyebarannya dalam bentuk peta dengan memanfaatkan Sistem Informasi Geografis. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Metode Deskriptif kualitatif yang terdiri dari survei dan overlay peta, sedangkan identifikasi tingkat kerawanan longsor menggunakan Metode Skoring. Parameter yang diamati adalah jenis tanah, kemiringan lereng, ketinggian, penggunaan lahan dan curah hujan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penyebaran luas tingkat kerawanan longsor di Kota Gorontalo terdiri dari tiga kelas kerawanan longsor yaitu (1) Kelas tidak rawan longsor seluas 3896,053 ha, tersebar pada Kecamatan Sipatana, Dungingi, Kota Utara, Kota Tengah, Kota Selatan dan Kota Timur ; (2) Kelas kerawanan sedang seluas 2792,098 ha ha atau 32,06% tersebar pada Kecamatan kota Barat, Hulondalangi, dan Dumbo Raya; (3) Kelas kerawanan tinggi seluas 1184,949 ha, terletak pada Kecamatan Dumbo Raya, Hulonthalangi, dan Kota Barat.

HERDIANTO GANI. 2015. "Mapping of Unsafe Level of Slide in Gorontalo City". Study Program of Geography, Department of Earth Sciences and Technology, Faculty Mathematics and Natural sciences, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The research aimed at investigating the level of unsafe area of slide in Gorontalo City. The distribution was in form of map by utilizing the Geographic Information System. The research applied qualitative descriptive method consisted of survey and overlay map. Then, it applied Scoring Method to identify the level of unsafe of slide. The observed parameters where type of soil, declivity of slope, height, the use of land and rainfall. The research result showed that the distribution of the width of unsafe level of slide in Gorontalo City was divided into three classes (1) safe of slide class as 3896,053 ha, was in subdistrict of Sipatana, Dungingi, Kota Utara, Kota Tengah, Kota Selatan, and Kota Timur; (2) moderate safe of slide as 2792.098 ha, was in subdistrict of Kota Barat, Hulonthalangi and Dumbo Raya; (3) high unsafe of slide as 1184,949 ha, was in subdistrict of Dumbo Raya, Hulothalangi, and Kota Barat.
