Abstrak
ABSTRACT
Rosmiyanti Kaku 2013. Improving Student Results by Applying Problem Solving Methods in Geography Lesson. Thesis, S1 Geography Education Program Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Gorontalo. This research is a class act who performed in SMA Negeri 1 Atinggola. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes by applying meto problem solving in geography subjects in class XI IPS 2. Students are subject to the actions amounted to 23 people in the 2012-2013 school year. Tintakan study this class refers to the Spiral model of Kemmis and Taggart. The instrument used for data collection in this study is the achievement test, teacher observation sheet activities, observation of student activity sheets, and a feasibility study observation sheet. This study was conducted in two cycles involving several observers. At the end of each cycle all data collected is then analyzed qualitatively. Based on the results of the action in the first cycle, the average results obtained by students who completed 39.13%, while the second cycle of the average values ??obtained learning outcomes of students who completed 91.30%. Due to an increase in learning outcomes, the study concludes on the second cycle. It can be concluded that the application of problem solving methods to improve student learning outcomes.
