Rostin Abdullah. 2015. Deskripsi Keterampilan Bertanya Guru dalam Pembelajaran Geografi Di Sekolah Menengah Atas se- Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara. Skripsi, Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Geografi Jurusan Ilmu dan Teknologi Kebumian, Fakultas Matematika dan IPA, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang dilaksanakan di SMA se-Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru Geografi yang ada di Sekolah Menengah Atas se-Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara, dengan jumlah guru sebanyak 7 orang dan sekolah sebanyak 7 sekolah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara. Pengambilan sampel untuk penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitiansecara keseluruhan, mengungkapkan pertanyaan secara jelas dan singkat dengan kriteria sangat baik sebesar 95,92%, pengubahan tuntutan tingkat kognitif dalam menjawab pertanyaan dengan kriteria baik sebesar 59,18%, untuk kriteria cukup terdapat pada pemahaman sebesar 44,9%, dan anailisis sebesar 32,65%, untuk kriteria kurang terdapat pada sintesis sebesar 32,65 % dan evaluasi dengan persentase sebesar 48.98%. Aspek yang perlu ditingkatkan yaitu pengaturan urutan pertanyaan tingkat pemahaman, analisis, sintesis, dan evaluasi. Untuk memperbaiki aspek-aspek tersebut guru harus dapat mengatur urutan pertanyaan yang disajikan kepada siswa berdasarkan tingkat pengurutannya dan sesuai dengan tarap perkembangan siswa.

This research was a descriptive research with quantitative approach conducted at Senior High Schools in Gorontalo Utara District in odd semester of 2014/2015 academic year. Sample of research were 7 Geography teacher of 7 Senior High schools in Gorontalo Utara District. The techniques of data collection were observation and interviews, and the technique of sampling was purposive sampling. The research result are as follows: the revealing questions briefly and clearly got excellent criteria with the percentage of 95.92%, the changing the cognitive demand level in answering question got excellent criteria with the percentage of 59.18%, the understanding the lesson got sufficient criteria criteria with the of 44.9%, and the anailysis got sufficient criteria with the percentage of 32.65%. Meanwhile, thesythesizing and evaluation got lack criteria with the percentage of 32.65% and 48.98% sequentially. The aspects that need be improved were the arrangement of level of questions, understanding level analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. To improve those aspects teachers should be able to arrange the questions that will be given to the students based level of the workmanship and based on the level of student's development.
