Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis riset pada mata kuliah Belajar dan Pembelajaran (BDP) di Jurusan geografi Universitas Negeri Gorontalo.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berbentuk deskriptif melalui pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tentang aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa Jurusan Ilmu dan Teknologi Kebumian (ITK) Prodi Geografi pada mata kuliah Belajar dan Pembelajaran (BDP) melalui pembelajaran berbasis riset.
Dari hasil menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengamatan terhadap keterlakanaan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan oleh dosen selama pembelajaran berada pada kateogri baik, pengamatan kegiatan aktivitas dosen dalam proses pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat baik dan baik, pengamatan aktivitas mahasiswa dalam menerima materi pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat baik dan baik, dan motivasi mahasiswa dalam terhadap pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis riset di Jurusan Ilmu dan Teknologi Kubumian Program Studi Geografi Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, khususnya pada mahasiswa Geografi angkatan 2013 kelas B, sudah efektiv

The research aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using research-based learning tool in Teaching and Learning Subject at Department of Geography, State University of Gorontalo.
The method used in this research as descriptive method by having quantitative approach. The research aimed at investigating the description of learning activity and learning achievement of students at Department of Geography on Teaching and Learning subject through research-based learning model.
The research result showed that the learning implementation that was conducted by lecturer during learning process was in good category, the lecture's activity observation result was in excellent and good category, student's activity observation result was in excellent and good category, and learning motivation of students to the learning process was in excellent category. Thus,, it can be concluded that the of use research-based learning tool at the Department of Geo Science and Technology, Study Program of Geography, State University of Gorontalo particularly on the students of class B of 2013 academic year waseffective.
