Jawiruddin Galnu, NIM: 451414082. Hubungan Motivasi Ekstrinsik dengan Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi di Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi Jurusan Ilmu dan Teknologi Kebumian, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengatahuan Alam, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Dibimbing oleh Ibu Dr. Fitryane Lihawa, M. Si. dan Bapak Syahrizal Koem, S. Pd., M. Si.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan motivasi ekstrinsik dengan prestasi akademik mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi di Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel 100 orang yang tersebar di lima angkatan pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi. Data motivasi ekstrinsik dikumpul melalui angket dan data prestasi akademik mahasiswa dikumpulkan dengan bentuk dokumentasi. Kedua data tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa motivasi ekstrinsik memiliki hubungan positif terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa dengan kontribusi sebesar 41,23%. Indikator motivasi ekstrinsik juga berkontribusi terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Indikator lingkungan sosial pada faktor keluarga berkontribusi sebesar 24,18%, dosen berkontribusi sebesar 16,10% dan teman kampus berkontribusi sebesar 14,46% sedangkan pada indikator lingkungan nonsosial, kondisi rumah berkontribusi sebesar 12,72% dan kondisi ruang kuliah berkontribusi sebesar 17,63% pada prestasi akademik mahasiswa.

This study aims to determine the relationship between extrinsic motivation and students' academic achievement in Study Program in Geography Education at Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. This quantitative research involved 100 students who are spread over five generation students in Study Program of Geography Education. The extrinsic motivation data were collected through questionnaires meanwhile students' academic achievement data were collected by documentation. Therefore, both data were analyzed by using regression and correlation analysis. The results show that extrinsic motivation has a positive correlation to students' achievement with 41,23% of contribution. Besides, the extrinsic motivation indicators also contribute to students' achievement. The social-environmental indicator on family factor contributes 24.18%, the lecturer contribute 16.10% and the college friends contribute 14.46% while the nonsocial environmental indicator, the condition of the house contributes 12.72% and the lecture condition contributes 17, 63% on students' academic achievement.
