Abstrak
ABSTRAK
Ratno Damopolii. 2016. Daerah penelitian terletak di Desa Modelidu Kecamatan Bulango Utara Kabupaten Bone Bolango Provinsi Gorontalo secara geografis terletak pada koordinat 00 40' 22,8" dan 00 43' 40,8" LU sampai 1230 03' 21,6" dan 1230 06' 54" BT dengan luas wilayah 40,2 Km2 . Daerah penelitian terbagi menjadi tiga satuan geomorfologi yaitu Satuan Perbukitan Intrusi, Satuan Punggungan Aliran Lava dan Satuan Dataran Aluvial dengan stadia daerah penelitian yaitu muda menjelang tua. Stratigrafi daerah penelitian terbagi menjadi 3 (tiga) satuan batuan tidak resmi yaitu satuan batuan granodiorit yang menempati 40% dari luas lokasi dengan umur Miosen awal-Miosen tengah, satuan batuan andesit yang menempati 55% dari luas lokasi dan satuan batuan basalt yang menempati 5% dari luas lokasi penelitian. adapun struktur geologi yang berkembang baik dalam skala mayor maupun minor pada lokasi penelitian yaitu sesar normal dekstral (normal right slip fault) Rickard (1972), sesar geser pada stasiun 5.2. dengan data pengukuran sesar bidang sesar N 1360 E/690 SW, Trend dan Plunge 660 ,N 2700 E, di dapatkan pitch atau rake yaitu 300, sesar normal dalam skala minor pada stasiun 5.3. dengan bidang sesar N 2300 E/600 NW, trend dan plunge 430,N 2700E didapatkan pitch 350, sesar normal pada stasiun 5.10. yaitu bidang sesar N 550 E/600 SE, trend and plunge 850, N 250 E pitch 350, dan kekar kolom pada stasiun 5.9. dengan arah penunjaman rata-rata kearah barat laut. Potensi geologi daerah penelitian berdasarkan data lapangan didapatkan batuan yang bisa digunakan untuk bahan konstruksi bangunan, ornament/stone, lantai, batua hias, dan perubahan hidrotermal ditandai adanya pirit diduga mempunyai kandungan mineral ekonomi.

Geological potential of research areas based on field data obtained rock that can be used for building construction materials, ornament / stone, flooring, decorative Batua and hydrothermal alteration characterized by pyrite is thought to have economic mineral deposits.
