FADILA NOU. 2020. Geologi Daerah Taula'a dan Sekitarnya, Kecamatan Bilato, Kabupaten Gorontalo, Provinsi Gorontalo. Skripsi Program Studi Teknik Geologi, Jurusan Ilmu dan Teknologi Kebumian, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Secara administratif daerah penelitian berada di Kecamatan Bilato dan Kecamatan Biluhu Kabupaten Gorontalo Provinsi Gorontalo. Berdasarkan letak geografisnya berada pada koordinat 0028'4.8 "- 0032'16.8" LU dan 122040'4.8 "-122043'37.2" Bujur Timur dengan luas wilayah 50.79 Km2. Pemetaan geologi bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi geologi daerah penelitian dengan skala 1: 25.000. Metode penelitian berupa eksplorasi ilmiah melalui survei pemetaan geologi permukaan. Survei geologi permukaan terdiri dari pengumpulan data lapangan dan analisis laboratorium. Data lapangan yang diambil terdiri dari geomorfologi, litologi dan struktur geologi, serta analisis laboratorium berupa analisis petrografi dan analisis struktur geologi.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, satuan geomorfologi wilayah penelitian terbagi menjadi 5 (lima) satuan geomorfologi yaitu satuan perbukitan zona sesar, satuan perbukitan aliran piroklastik, satuan perbukitan intrusif, satuan dataran banjir dan satuan dataran pantai. Stratigrafi daerah penelitian dibagi menjadi 4 (empat) satuan yang diurutkan dari muda sampai tua yang terdiri dari satuan andesit dari umur Eosen sampai Oligosen, satuan diorit dari Miosen Tengah sampai Miosen Akhir, satuan aglomerat dari Pliosen Akhir sampai Plistosen Awal, satuan aluvial usia holosen. Struktur geologi yang berkembang adalah sesar Taula'a dengan tegangan utamanya relatif utara timur laut-selatan barat daya. Potensi geologi di daerah penelitian berupa penambangan batuan, potensi bencana geologi yang dapat terjadi berupa banjir dan longsor.

Administratively, the study area is located in Bilato and Biluhu sub-districts, Gorontalo District, Gorontalo Province. Meanwhile, it is geographically at the coordinates of 000284.8-00o3216.8 Nort Latitude and 1220404.8-12204337.2 East longitude with a total area of 50.79 km2. The geological mapping aims to discover the geological condition of the study area on a scale 1:25.000. the research method is in the form of scientific exploration through surface geological mapping survei. The survei consists of field data collection and laboratory analysis. The field data comprises geomorphology, lithology, and geological structure, whereas laboratory analysis includes petrography and structural analysis.
Findings reveal that the geomorphological unit of the study area is divided into five units, namely, structural hill, lava flow hill, intrusion hill, floodplain, and coastal plain. Furthermore, the stratigraphy of the study area consists of 4 units which are sorted from young to old. They are namely andesite unit with the age of Eocene-Oligocene, diorit unit with the age of Middle-Late Miocene, agglomerate unit with the age of late Pliocene-Early Pleistocene, Alluvial unit with the age of Holocene. The structural geology developed in Taulaa is faults with major stresses in the North Northeast-South Southwest. The geological potential of the study area is rock mining and potential disasters are floods and landslides.
