Abstrak
ABSTRACT Road transport infrastructure is the most widely used by Indonesian people to perform daily mobility so that the volume of vehicles that pass a road affects the capacity and capability of carrying capacity. Him in making the necessary planning toget a suitable pavement layers that can extend the service life of the road itself, especially on the road – the road that has a vital role in the development of an area. One planning method in determining highway pavement layer is to analyze the value of California Bearing Ratio (CBR) of land base. Carrying capacity of the land base (subgrade) on rigid pavement design expressed in CBR which can be calculated by using a Dynamic Cone Penetromer (DCP). Each segment representing a CBR value of subgrade bearing capacity and are used for planning of pavement layer thickness of the segment. CBR values obtained from the results of the examination by means of DCP associated with Basic Soil Reaction Coefficient Value (k) with the formulas and charts. The results of the research showed that the CBR value of 3,4% with a coefficient of subgrade (k) of 100 pci. Key words : Coefficient of Subgrade Reaction (k), California Bearing Ratio
