Abstrak
ABSTRACT Damage to the pavement would allow a reduction in service life of future plans or road. The use of additives into the hot asphalt mix is now widely used with a view to improving the stability and service life of the road. Highways 2010 specification requires the addition of additives from 0.2 to 0.3%, Under these conditions, do research on the use of additives (Wetfix-BE) for durability in a mixture of Asphalt Concrete - Wearing Course (AC-WC). This study aims to (1) the effect of the use of additives Wetfix-BE on a long immersion 1, 2, 4, 6 and 8 days on the performance of the durability of a mixture of AC-WC; (2) determine the ratio mix using additives Wetfix-BE with a mixture that does not use additives Wetfix-BE on the performance of the durability of a mixture of AC-WC. variations in the levels of additives Wetfix-BE in this study varied in the range of 0.2%, 0.25%, 0.3%, 0.35% and 0.4% to the weight of the asphalt. Marshall modifications done soaking time is 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 days. This study uses data analysis techniques Marshall test with the standard specifications of Highways. To see the performance of the durability of asphalt concrete mixtures used indicator Remaining Strength Index (IKS), Index Decreased Stability, namely First Durability Index (IDP) and the Second Durability Index (IDK). Using aggregate of AMP Rays of Light Work and pertamina penetration bitumen 60/70 with Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO) 5.75%. The influence caused by the addition of additives Wetfix-BE with the content variation Wetfix-BE 0.2%, 0.25%, 0.3%, 0.35 and 0.4% the duration of immersion 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 days of the (IKS) The resulting still meet the standards of Highways ie greater than 90%, but the immersion 8 days decreased durability of the mixture that does not use Wetfix-BE and the use Wetfix-BE with levels of 0.2%. IKS value increased with the addition of levels Wetfix-BE and decreased with increasing duration of immersion. Value (IDP) for a wide variety of levels Wetfix-BE and long immersion in general experience a loss of power except the soaking time 1 day with levels Wetfix-BE 0.2%, 0.25%, 0.3%, 0.35% and 0.4% experience gain strength , The highest power loss occurs in a mixture with levels Wetfix-BE 0.35% and the duration of immersion 2 days.
