Abstrak
ABSTRACT
(Piu. 2013). The Analysis of Road Performance around the Area of State University of Gorontalo. The principal supervisor was Yuliyanti Kadir, S.T., MT, and the co-supervisor was Frice. L. Desei, S.T., MSc. Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Gorontalo.
The research aimed to investigate the road performance around the area of State University of Gorontalo, to decide the service level of each road around the area of State University of Gorontalo, and to find out the system of traffic management around the area of State University of Gorontalo if DS > the requirement of MKJI 1997 which is 0.75.
The location of research was around the area of State University of Gorontalo such as Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Dewi Sartika, Jalan Pangeran Hidayat, and Jalan Pangeran Hidayat 1. The data were collected through two steps; they were primary data collection and secondary data collection. The primary data such as traffic volume
data, geometric and side resistance was directly obtained in the field, while for the secondary data such as the population was obtained according to National Bureau of Statistic of Gorontalo Province.
The result of analysis showed that the DS of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman was 0.657 with the level of service was in C level, the DS of Jalan Pangeran Hidayat westbound was 0.271 and the eastward was 0.299 with the level of service was in B level, the DS of Jalan Pangeran Hidayat 1 was 0.67 with level of service was in C level, and the DS of
Jalan Dewi Sartika was 0.657 with the level of service was in C level. The first alternative traffic management was gained the DS and level of service from three roads such as Jalan Jenderal Sudirman was 0.285, Jalan Pangeran Hidayat 1 was 0.34, and Jalan Dewi Sartika was 0.319 with the level of service was in B level. The second alternative obtained the DS of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman was 0.354, Jalan Pangeran
Hidayat 1 was 0.301, and Jalan Dewi Sartika was 0.267 with the level of service was in B level. The third alternative showed the DS of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman was 0.601, and Jalan Dewi Sartika was 0.618 with the level of service was in C level.
