Abstrak
ABSTRACT Fire caused material losses that the cost was not low. Fire can cause damage to building, because high temperature may effects the building structure, such as at beam and column. Burning beam causing decreased of compressive strength, because high temperature make impact on concrete structures. To minimize the possibility of damage building and reduce losses from fire, it is necessary to mix the added ingridients that can make concrete ressistant to high temperatures. Damdex is a chemical that promoted to improve the durability of concrete from high tempereture resistant even to burn. This study was conducted to determine whether use Damdex for admixture of concrete can effect the to compressive strength of concrete that have high temperature. The method that used in this study is Mix Design Plan (SNI 03-2834-2000) compression Testing Method that used to test the concrete sample. The result showed in normal condition (without any treatment), concrete with admixture of Damdex have average compressive strength 26,24 MPa or 3,33% bigger than a normal concrete that have average compressive strength 25,48 MPa. Concrete with admixture of Damdex have decreased compressive strength 39% or 10,24 MPa, the decreased of Damdex concrete was 13,2% lower than normal concrete that have decreased of compressive strength 52,2% or 13,29 MPa. The compressive strength reduction occurs in concrete that heated with temperature 0C - 200C conducted during 7 hours, for concrete that have heated with temperature 200C during 3 hours, concrete with admixture of Damdex have decreased compressive strength 41,6% or 10,91 MPa, the decreased of Damdex concrete was 12,2% lower than normal concrete that have decreased of compressive strength 53,8% or 13,71 MPa.
