Abstrak

ABSTRACT MOH. NUR Fadzri LAMUSU, 3 English Dictionary Application Development In Android Smartphone (guided by Moh. Koniyo Hidayat, ST., M.Kom and Manda Rohandi, Kom., M.Kom). As a region famous for its customs and culture, Gorontalo started to become a tourist destination for both domestic and abroad. Many of these migrants are attracted to the customs and culture of Gorontalo, Gorontalo one language. However, this time Gorontalo language began to be abandoned by the people, especially the younger generation. It is necessary for a useful medium for studying language Gorontalo. The purpose of this study makes three language dictionary apps on Android smartphones, which is comprised of Indonesian, English and Gorontalo, to exploit the popularity of the Android smartphone technology. The method used in this study is Hashmap, this method is used for efficient searching. The results of this study are 3 English Dictionary Application in particular Android-based mobile which can help indigenous communities and settlers in communicating Gorontalo, Gorontalo and can preserve the language.
