Abstrak
Corn is one of the widely sought after commodity. It is proven by the vast area of Gorontalo's people land that was planted with corn. The problem however, was on how to determine the quality of corn based on the color, form, and texture of the corn. The stated problem could be resolved by looking at the color of the corn as the indicator of good quality corn. Computer could also be used to determine good quality corn by using image-processing technique. On image-processing technique there is a well-known method called CBIRS (Content Based Image Retrieval). With this CBIRS technique the database and the query image could be collected. Therefore, the identification process of corn color, corn quality could be measured by assessing the color histogram of the tested and the training image and using the distance measurement method called the Euclidean Distance and Manhattan method. Based on the implementation of those methods, the best method to measure the corn quality was through the Manhattan method, in which the accuracy of this method was 53% of the total 112 times test image and the number of testing data was 56 images.
