Abstrak

ABSTRACT Siti Novianita H. Palilati Nim 531411026. Geographic Information System of Karawo (Traditional Embroidery Fabric of Gorontalo) Industrial Center In City of Gorontalo (Principal supervisor is Agus Lahinta, ST., M.Kom and Co-supervisor is Manda Rohandi, M.Kom) As an effort of preserving and popularizing karawo handicraft, the Government has taken several action in developing information about karawo and its industry. However, this effort is not effective yet as absence of information related to location of karawo industry center in City of Gorontalo. This research aims to develop Geographic Information System of karawo Industry Center in City of Gorontalo as solution to map locations of the karawo industry in City of Gorontalo. Haversine Formula method is applied to measure nearest location of the karawo industry with location of visitor. This research creates Geographic Information System of karawo Industry Center which can assist the visitor to obtain information and nearest location as well as the marketed product information.
