Abstrak
RAHMAT TRIADI. Information System of News Management at Faculty of Engineering, State University of Gorontalo (Supervised by Moh. Hidayat Koniyo, ST., M.Kom and Lillyan Hadjaratie, S.Kom., M.Si).
The present management of news in Faculty of Engineering, State University of Gorontalo remains experiencing several troubles thus its result is not optimum. It is seen from issuance of the news that still can be done although not following the procedure. Another trouble is related to difficulty in monitoring issuance and return of the news of absence of digital and centered archive storage. The research aimed to optimize process of news management by using web service technology as data exchange among connected systems. The system development method used Prototype method by using PHP SQL database as well as web service technology. The research finding confirmed that information system of news management can optimize the management. In addition, it can facilitate related parties in issuing news procedurally, it can pick data by using the web service and it can monitor whether the issued or returned news. The system is used to facilitate the management of news in Faculty of Engineering, State University of Gorontalo.
