Abstrak
Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) ialah suatu bidang industri yang melakukan aktivitas yakni produksi
berbagai jenis produk. IKM berperan penting dalam pertumbuhan ekenomi di Indonesia karena mampu
menyerap tenaga kerja dalam jumlah besar sehingga mengurangi kemiskinan serta meningkatkan pangsa
ekspor produk. Dengan peran pentingnya tersebut, pembinaan dari pemerintah khusunya dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Kabupaten Gorontalo diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas IKM agar produktivitas dan daya saing meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang di dilakukan, Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan telah menyediakan informasi mengenai Industri Kecil dan Menengah, masyarakat dan pihak yang memerlukan informasi dapat mengunjungi Dinas Perindustrian dan perdagangan secara langsung, namun cara itu memerlukan banyak waktu dan kurang efektif. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu metode penyajian informasi penyebaran IKM yang lebih baik dan dapat menampilkan lokasi disertai dengan informasi yang berkaitan dengan IKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem informasi industri kecil menegah yang memudahkan dalam menemukan lokasi-lokasi IKM yang ada di Kabupaten Gorontalo. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan yaitu metode Prototype dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL. Hasil dari penelitian ini Sistem Informasi Geografis Industri Kecil Menengah digunakan untuk mempermudah masyarakat dan pihak tertentu dalam menemukan lokasi-lokasi IKM yang ada di Kabupaten Gorontalo.

ABSTRACT
Small and Medium Industries (SMIs) is a field of industry responsible for producing various kinds of product. It plays an crucial role in Indonesiaâs economic growth due it is able to absorb labor in an enormours number so that it reduces poverty and improves share of product export, Therefore, this pivotal role requires guidance from the government, particulary Industry and Trade Agency of Gorontalo District, to improve quality of SMls along with its productivity and competitiveness. Result of observation revealed that the Industry and Trade Agency had provided information concerning Small and Medium Industries so that the community and parties that needed the information could visit the agency, directly. However, this direct way was time-consuming and less effective, and therefore, it required a better method of information display for distribution of Small and Medium Industries, which could present location and other information associeted with the SMIs. Objective of this research was to develop a small and medium industries information system which eased users in fidding locations of SMIs programming language and MySQL database. Result of this research was a Small and Medium Industries Information System used to facilitate community and certain parties in finding locations of the SMIs in Gorontalo District.
