ABSTRACT
Arfan Dalanggo. Evaluation of the suitability of land for development of chili (capsicum annuum) in the province of Gorontalo district Bolango bone. Under the guidance by Nurdin and Fauzan Zakaria.
Land evaluation suitability of land utilization types should be made to decision of land use precision option in society regime especially to bone bolango regency. The researh approach that is use was survey metode in semi detailed level and farming analizing the aim of the research to determine of land suitability classes, limiting factors and the widely of land development of chili Bone Bolango Regency was the location of the research in done began march to december 2011. However data analyzing done of Agrotechnology laboratory Agriculture of Faculty of Gorontalo state University. The stage of the research consist of preparation arranged of unit map, field surveys intervew with farmers, soil analyzing in laboratorium, actual suitability class and potencial suitability class, the result of this research showing that the land suitability were moderately suitably (S2) marginally suitably (S3) and not suitably (N). however the limiting factors are temperature, rainfall, nutrient availability, rooting media and drainages for S3. The limiting factor was long term radition for N the limiting factors were slope and drainage, therefore the widely for S2 was 22.813,70 ha, S3 was 19.035,80 and N was 25. 273,65 ha.
