ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine: 1) Sources of household income maize farmers in the district Mootilango Gorontalo district, 2) distribution and structure of the household income of corn farmers in the district Mootilango Gorontalo district, 3) Effect of other sources of income to changes in the structure of household income maize farmers in District Mootilango Gorontalo District.
The research was conducted in the District Mootilango, Gorontalo district from May to June 2014. The study used a survey method directly which is a collection of empirical data based on observations and interviews. The sampling technique is done by using the sampling area to determine the area and slovin formula for the sample of farmers in order to obtain the sample amounted to 89 people. Data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data were analyzed using analysis of income, the Gini Coefisient analysis and percentage analysis.
The results showed that the average total income of farm households in the District Mootilango corn, Gorontalo District of various sources of income (farm and nonusahatani) reached 44.7 million rupiah / year. Distribution of household income inequality farmers are in a moderate (moderate), while the structure of earnings are at high-income category. Other sources of income outside the farming of corn tends to reduce income inequality and the structure of household income Mootilango farmers in Sub-district, Gorontalo.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : 1) Sumber pendapatan rumah tangga petani jagung di Kecamatan Mootilango Kabupaten Gorontalo, 2) Distribusi dan struktur pendapatan rumah tangga petani jagung di Kecamatan Mootilango Kabupaten Gorontalo, 3) Pengaruh sumber pendapatan lain terhadap perubahan struktur pendapatan rumah tangga petani jagung di Kecamatan Mootilango Kabupaten Gorontalo.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Mootilango, Kabupaten Gorontalo dari bulan Mei sampai Juni 2014. Penelitian menggunakan Metode survei langsung yaitu merupakan pengumpulan data empiris berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara. Teknik penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan area sampling untuk menentukan wilayah dan rumus slovin untuk sampel petani sehingga didapat sampel berjumlah 89 orang. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data di analisis dengan menggunakan analisis pendapatan, analisis Coefisient Gini dan analisis presentase.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pendapatan total rumah tangga petani jagung di Kecamatan Mootilango, Kabupaten Gorontalo dari berbagai sumber pendapatan (usahatani dan nonusahatani) mencapai 44,7 juta rupiah/tahun. Distribusi pendapatan rumah tangga petani berada dalam ketimpangan sedang (moderat), sedangkan struktur pendapatannya berada pada kategori berpendapatan tinggi. Sumber pendapatan lain di luar usahatani jagung cenderung memperkecil ketimpangan pendapatan dan struktur pendapatan rumah tangga petani di Kecamatan Mootilango, Kabupaten Gorontalo.
