FARMERS WORKING TIME ALLOCATION OF FARM CORN AND MORE PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITIES IN DISTRICT RANDANGAN
POHUWATO REGENCY*

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) How much time is allocated farmers in corn farming and other productive activities in the District Randangan Pohuwato Regency. 2) Does the farmer works most of the time allocated for corn farming. This research was carried out for 3 months ie from May to July 2014. Data collected included primary data and secondary data. A sample of 90 corn growers. The analysis used HKSP analysis and Z test. Test results showed 1) Average working time allocation farmers in maize farming is 106.13 HKSP. The average allocation of time working on the farm in addition to corn farmers is 43.67 HKSP. The average allocation time farmer working in non-agricultural activities is 24.30 HOK. 2) The results of the statistical test Zhitung and Zdaftar is 5.692> 1.645 so that the allocation of time working on the farm corn farmers contribute significantly to the allocation of household labor time.

ABSTRAK
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui : 1) Seberapa besar waktu yang dialokasikan petani pada usahatani jagung dan kegiatan produktif lainnya di Kecamatan Randangan Kabupaten Pohuwato. 2) Apakah petani mengalokasikan waktu kerjanya sebagian besar untuk usahatani jagung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan yakni bulan Mei sampai juli. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi data primer dan data sekunder. Sampel sebanyak 90 orang petani jagung. Analisis yang digunakan analisis HKSP dan Uji Z. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 1) Rata-rata alokasi waktu kerja petani pada usahatani jagung adalah 106,13 HKSP. Rata-rata alokasi waktu kerja petani pada usahatani selain jagung adalah 43,67 HKSP. Rata-rata alokasi waktu kerja petani pada kegiatan luar sektor pertanian adalah 24,30 HOK. 2) Hasil uji statistik Zhitung dan Zdaftar adalah 5,692 > 1,645 sehingga alokasi waktu kerja petani pada usahatani jagung berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap alokasi waktu kerja rumah tangga
