Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tampilan fenotip dan ukuran tubuh pteropus alecto (kelelawar pemakan buah) Desa Ponelo, Kecamatan Ponelo Kepulauan
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengamatan fenotip secara kuantitatif pada pteropus alecto meliputi ukuran-ukuran tubuh dan berat badan, hal ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui gambaran sifat kuantitatif pteropus alecto . Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik nilai koefisien keragaman ukuran-ukuran linear organ tubuh pada pteropus alecto sebagian besar memiliki nilai koefisien keseragaman dibawah 10%, hal ini menunjukan ukuran-ukuran tubuh pada kelelawar yang kecil sudah hampir seragam, kecuali bobot badan yang memiliki nilai koefisien keseragaman lebih dari 10%. Sedangkan hasil pengamatan fenotip secara kualitatif, sifat kualitatif warna rambut (bulu) pada pteropus alecto jantan dan betina secara umum menunjukan warna yang seragam pada bagian tubuhnya. Persentase frekuensi relatif warna rambut (bulu) menunjukan persentase yang sama yaitu 100%.

The purpose of this study to determine the phenotypic appearance and body size pteropus Alecto (fruit bats) Ponelo Village, District Ponelo Islands
Based on the research results show that quantitative phenotype observed in pteropus Alecto include body measurements and weight, it is meant to describe the quantitative nature pteropus Alecto. Based on the results of statistical analysis coefficient value of diversity measures linear organ in pteropus Alecto mostly has a value of uniformity coefficient below 10%, this shows the body measurements of bats that small is almost uniform, except for body weight has a uniformity coefficient of more than 10%. While the results of phenotypic observations qualitatively, the qualitative nature of the color of the hair (fur) on pteropus Alecto males and females in general show a uniform color on the parts of his body. Percentage of relative frequency of hair color (feathers) showed the same percentage of 100%.
