Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi usaha ternak Sapi Potong terhadap pendapatan keluarga serta untuk mengetahui berapa besar pendapatan petani peternak usaha Sapi Potong di Kecamatan Kwandang Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari sampai April 2017 di Kecamatan Kwandang Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan menghimpun data primer yabg dipeeroleh dari responden menggunakan kuesioner dan data sekunder diperoleh dari Dinas Peternakan Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara serta Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara dan Instansi-instansi yang terkait. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 69 responden. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk mendekripsikan kontribusi usaha sapi potong terhadap pendapatan keluarga, analisis kontribusi digunakan untuk mengetahui besar sumbangan usaha Sapi Potong terhadap pendaptan Keluarga petani dan analisis pendapatan digunakan untuk mengetahui besar pendapatan petani peternak usaha Sapi Potong. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata biaya produksi yang dikeluarkan peternak sekitar 58,11% atau Rp. 3.086.956, per tahun dari total rata-rata biaya produksi sebesar Rp. 5.311.738, per tahun. Total penerimaan dari hasil penjualan usaha petani sebesar Rp. 36.104.638, per tahun. Kontribusi usaha ternak Sapi Bali di Kecamatan Kwandang Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara sebesar 13,40% atau Rp 3.082.681-,.Terbukti kontribusi usaha ternak sapi bali di kategorikan masih rendah karena usaha ternak yang dijalankan masih bersifat traadisional atau sebgai usaha sampingan dikarenakan petani menjual ternak hanya karena membutuhkan biaya hidup sehari-hari. Penggunaan biaya produksi berpengaruh positif terhadap pendapatan usaha ternak.

This study aims to determine the contribution of beef cattle business to the family income and to find out how much income farmers breeder business cattle in District Kwandang District North Gorontalo. This research was conducted from February to April 2017 in Use Kwandang District of North Gorontalo. The research method used is survey method by collecting primary data obtained from respondents using questionnaires and secondary data obtained from the Livestock Service Office of North Gorontalo Regency and Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara and related agencies. Respondents used or sampel are 69. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis to describe the contribution of beef cattle to family income, contribution analysis was used to know the contribution of Beef Cattle business to the farmer family's income and income analysis used to know the income of farmer of Beef Cattle business. The results showed that the average production costs incurred by breeders about 58.11% or Rp. 3,086,956, total averaged production cost of Rp. 5,311,738, per year. Total revenue from the sale of farmers' business is Rp. 36.104.638, per year. The contribution of Balinese cattle business in Kwandang District, North Gorontalo regency is 13.40% or Rp 3,082,681 - Proven contribution of cattle business in categorize is still low because the livestock business that is run is still traditional or sebgai side business because farmers sell livestock just because it requires the cost of daily living. The use of production cost has a positive effect to livestock business income.
