Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui persentase estrus, onset estrus dan lama estrus kambing peranakan etawah (PE) hasil singkronisasi menggunakan hormon progesteron dengan dosis yang berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan maret 2016 di kecamatan Wonosari, Kabupaten Boalemo, Provinsi Gorontalo.
Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian 15 ekor induk Peranakan Etawah (PE) yang terseleksi berumur 1-2 tahun dan minimal sudah beranak 2 kali yang berkisaran bobot badan 32-40 kg. seluruh sampel kambing diinjeksi menggunakan hormon progesteron dengan perlakuan dosis 0,5 ml, 1 ml, 1,5 ml, 2 ml, dan 2,5 ml. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 5 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian hormon progesteron pada penyuntikan pertama dan kedua dengan dosis yang berbeda rata-rata (33%) sampai (100%). Sedangkan onset estrus pada pada penyuntikan pertama pada jam ke-18,67 sampai jam ke-30,33. Pada penyuntikan kedua onset estrus rata-rata jam ke-21,67 sampai jam ke-41. Pemberian hormon progesteron pada penyuntikan pertama menyebabkan timbulnya lama estrus rata-rata pada jam ke-5,33 sampai jam ke-10,33. Sedangkan pada penyuntikan kedua rata-rata pada jam ke-16,33 sampai jam ke-24.

This study aims to determine the percentage of estrus, estrus onset and duration of estrus goats Peranakan Etawah (PE) results using the hormone progesterone synchronization with different doses. The experiment was conducted in March to April 2016 in the district Wonosari, Boalemo district, Gorontalo.
The sample used in this study were 15 breeding Peranakan Etawah (PE) selected a minimum of 1-2 years old and had begat two times ranging body weight of 32-40 kg. he entire sample is injected using the hormone progesterone goat with a dosage of 0.5 ml, 1 ml, 1.5 ml, 2 ml, and 2.5 ml. The design used was a completely randomized design(CRD) 5 treatments and 3 repetitions. The variables measured were the percentage of estrus, estrus onset, and duration of estrus.
The results showed that administration of the hormone progesterone in the first injection at a dose of average (33%) and the second injection of different doses of an average of 66% and (100%). While the onset of estrus in the first injection at a dose different doses of an average of 0.5 ml (21.33), 1 ml (30.33), 1.5 mL (18.67) 2 ml (0) 2 , 5 ml (21.67), and the second injection at a dose of 0.5 ml (21.67), 1 ml (41.00), 1.5 mL (41.67), 2 ml (51.67), and 2.5 ml (53.67) or no significant effect on the onset of estrus. but towards the long estrus at first penyuntika average of 0.5 ml (21.33), 1 ml (30.33), 1.5 mL (18.67), 2 ml (0), and 2.5 ml ( 21.67), the second injection at a different dose average of 0.5 ml (17.67), 1 ml (16.33), 1.5 mL (22.67), 2 ml (24.33) , and 2.5 ml (22.33).
