Tesis, Konsentrasi IPS Pendidikan Dasar Program Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing (1) Prof.Dr.Abdul Haris Panai, M.Pd, Pembimbing(2) Dr.Mohamad Zubaidi, M.Pd Tujuan pelaksanaan penelitian ini adalah untuk : meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa melalui model pembelajaran discovery pada materi keragaman suku bangsa dan budaya di kelas IV SDN 04 Lemito Kabupaten Pohuwato. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Tahap penelitian terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 04 Lemito Kabupaten Pohuwato. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah: 1) lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan aktivitas 2) lembar pengamatan minat belajar siswa belajar siswa selama proses pembelajaran dan 3) tes hasil belajar siswa. Hipotesis penelitian adalah jika pembelajaran IPS dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Discovery maka minat dan hasil belajar siswa pada siswa kelas IV SDN 04 Lemito Kabupaten Pohuwato akan meningkat, dengan Indikator keberhasilan tindakan adalah jumlah siswa yang memperoleh nilai minimal 75 meningkat dari 42% menjadi minimal 84%. Sebagai simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Dicsovry dapat meningkatkan Minat dan Hasil Belajar Siswa pada materi keragaman suku bangsa dan budaya di kelas IV SDN 04 Lemito Kabupaten Pohuwato, hal tersebut didukung dengan hasil penelitian: 1) pengamatan minat siswa pada observasi awal yang termasuk pada kriteria sedang dan tinggi hanya 44% meningkat menjadi 66% pada pelaksanaan siklus I, selanjutnya meningkat menjadi 85% setelah hasil siklus II dan 2) jumlah siswa yang memperoleh nilai minimal 75 meningkat dari 42% saat observasi awal menjadi 63% setelah pelaksanaan siklus I, dan meningkat lagi menjadi 84% setelah pelaksanaan siklus II. This research uses classroom action research. The research stage consists of planning, implementing the action, observing and reflecting. The research subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 04 Lemito, Pohuwato Regency. Data collection techniques are: 1) teacher activity observation sheet and activity 2) student learning interest observation sheet during the learning process and 3) student learning outcomes test. The research hypothesis is that if social studies learning is implemented using the Discovery Learning Model, the interest and learning outcomes of students in grade IV SDN 04 Lemito, Pohuwato Regency will increase, with the indicator of the success of the action is the number of students who get a minimum score of 75 increases from 42% to a minimum of 84%. . As the conclusion of this research are: the use of the Dicsovry Learning Model can increase Student Interest and Learning Outcomes in the material of ethnic and cultural diversity in class IV SDN 04 Lemito, Pohuwato Regency, this is supported by the results of research: 1) observation of student interest in initial observations made including the medium and high criteria, only 44% increased to 66% in the implementation of cycle I, then increased to 85% after the results of cycles II and 2) the number of students who obtained a minimum score of 75 increased from 42% during initial observation to 63% after the implementation of the cycle I, and increased again to 84% after the implementation of cycle II.
