Pelabuhan merupakan sebuah fasilitas di sungai atau danau untuk menerima kapal dan memindahkan penumpang kedalamnya. Aktifitas pelayanan tersebut tidak menutup kemungkinan mengangkut hewan pembawa penyakit ke wilayah tersebut. Kegiatan ini senantiasa menimbulkan penularan penyakit. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana gambaran pengendalian vektor di pelabuhan laut barang dan penumpang kota gorontalo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengendalian vektor di pelabuhan laut Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan metode survei yang mengambil lokasi di pelabuhan laut barang dan pelabuhan penumpang Kota Gorontalo. Jumlah informan dalam penelitian ini adalah 12 orang yang terdiri dari 1 kepala pelabuhan penyeberangan, 1 kepala PT PELINDO IV, 1 kepala KKP, 3 petugas pengendalian vektor di KKP, 3 petugas teknis dari PELINDO, 3 petugas honorer dari pelabuhan penyeberangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengendalian vektor di pelabuhan dilihat dari kegiatan teknik operasional sudah sesuai dengan prosedur yang berlaku. Sedangkan dalam hal kebijakan dan sumber daya manusia masih kurang maksimal. Kendala paling besar terletak pada sumber daya manusia. Disarankan untuk KKP mengatur ulang petugas pengendalian vektor agar sesuai jadwal dan melakukan penambahan petugas dalam pelaksanaan pengendalian vektor di pelabuhan laut.

The Description of Vector control implementation at the Port of Goods and passengers of Gorontalo City. Undergraduate Thesis. M.KesA port is a facility that can be found in the river or lake which function is handling the cargo activities including transporting the disease-carrying animals to the area. The activity could cause infection disease. The problem of this research is how the description of vector control in the port of goods and passengers of Gorontalo city which aims to describe vector control in the port city of Gorontalo.The method of the research is a qualitative method by using the descriptive approach and survey method. The research is conducted at the seaport of goods and port of passengers of Gorontalo city involving 12 informants consisting of 1 head of Ferry port, 1 head of PT PELINDO IV, 1 head of KKP, 3 vector control officers at KKP, 3 technical officers from PELINDO, 3 non-exempt employees from the Ferry port.The result of this study indicate that vector control at ports by the operational engineering activites is appropriate with the procedure, except for the policy implementation and human resources. The most significant obstacle lies in human resources. It is recommended for the CTV to rearrange the vector control officers so it can fit with the schedule and to add the number of officers in the implementation of vector control at the seaport.
