Laju pertumbuhan penduduk Indonesia sekitar 1,49 % pertahun. Diperkirakan jumlah kelahiran di Indonesia sekitar 4.500.000 tiap tahun dengan 760.000 (17%) dari jumlah tersebut merupakan kelahiran yang tidak direncanakan. Usaha pemerintah untuk menurunkan laju pertumbuhan penduduk dengan melalui program keluarga berencana (KB). Menyusui dapat dijadikan sebagai alat kontrasepsi alami, seperti memberikan ASI Eksklusif dimana ASI Eksklusif dapat menghambat proses kehamilan. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan dikelurahan Dembe I, Kampung KB pada bulan maret 2017. Dari hasil wawancara terhadap 10 ibu menyusui tentang Pengaruh Tingkat Pengetahuan Ibu Terhadap Pemberian ASI Eksklusif sebagai Kb alami, di dapat 2 orang yang memberikan ASI Eksklusif dan tidak terjadi kehamilan selama satu tahun, 8 orang tidak memberikan ASI Eksklusif dan mengalami kehamilan sebelum satu tahun kelahiran bayi.
Rumusan masalah untuk penelitian ini adalah apakah ada pengaruh pengetahuan ibu terhadap pemberian ASI Eksklusif sebagai KB alami dikampung KB Kelurahan Dembe I Kota Gorontalo. Dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengetahuan ibu terhadap pemberian ASI Eksklusif sebagai KB alami dikampung KB kelurahan Dembe I Kota Gorontalo
Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Jenis penelitian analitik observasional dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional, teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh dengan jumlah responden 60 ibu menyusui, instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya teknik analisa data dengan analisi regersi linier.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh pengetahuan ibu (p value 0,000), psikologis (p value 0,000), dukungan petugas kesehatan (p value 0,001) media massa (p value 0,000) terhadap ASI Eksklusif sebagai KB alami di kampung KB

The average percentage of national population growth rate of Indonesia is 1,49% per year. It is estimated that Indonesia birth rate is around 4.500.000 per year with 760.000 (17%) of unintended pregnancy. Family planning is a government program to decrease the population growth rate. Based on the study in Kampung KB. Dembe I on March 2017, breastfeeding can be used as a method of birth control, such as giving exclusive breastfeeding where it has in fact been shown to be an excellent form to prevent the pregnancy. This study involved 10 breastfeeding mothers to be interviewed. It is revealed that 2 breastfeeding mothers to exclusively breastfed do not have a pregnancy for one year and 8 breastfeeding mothers who donât exclusively breastfeed have a pregnancy before one year of birth.
The formulation of the problem for this research is whether there is influence of mother's knowledge on Exclusive Breast Feeding as family planning in KB Village Kelurahan Dembe I of Gorontalo City. With the aim to analyze the influence of mother's knowledge on Exclusive breastfeeding as family planning in village KB Dembe I Kota Gorontalo
The type of research used in this study is the type of observational analytical research using cross sectional approach, the sampling technique used is saturated sampling with the number of respondents 60 breastfeeding mothers, the instrument used in the study is a questionnaire that has been tested the validity and reliability data analysis techniques with linear regression analysis.
The results showed that there was influence of mother's knowledge (p value 0,000), psychological (p value 0,000), health officer support (p value 0,001) mass media (p value 0,000) to exclusive breastfeeding as family planning in family planning
