Ibu rumah tangga banyak yang menggunakan minyak goreng berulang-ulang (jelantah) dengan alasan untuk berhemat. Pada proses pemakaian yang berulang kali akan menyisakan lemak jenuh yang tinggi, asam lemak jenuh yang tinggi dapat menyebabkan terbentuknya kolestrol. Rumusan masalah yaitu bagaimana tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap ibu tentang penggunaan minyak goreng bekas?. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap ibu rumah tangga tentang penggunaan minyak goreng bekas di Desa Talulobutu Desa Talulobutu Kecamatan Tapa Kabupaten Bone Bolango.
Jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, populasi adalah seluruh Ibu Rumah Tangga di Dusun I, II dan III Desa Talulobutu Kec. Tapa Kab. Bone Bolango yang berjumlah 370 ibu rumah tangga. Teknik pengambilan sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel 192 orang yang dihitung dengan rumus slovin. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner yang kemudian dianalisis secara univariat.
Hasil penelitian mendapatkan responden berpengetahuan baik (30,2%), cukup (47,9%) dan kurang (51,9%) serta ibu yang bersikap positif (72,4%) dan negatif (27,6%). Simpulan sebagian besar ibu rumah tangga di Desa Talulobutu Kecamatan Tapa Kabupaten Bone Bolango berpengetahuan cukup dan bersikap positif mengenai penggunaan minyak goreng bekas. Di harapkan ibu rumah tangga mengurangi bahkan dapat menghilangkan kebiasaan penggunaan minyak goreng bekas yang sudah lebih dari dua kali digunakan karena hal tersebut dapat merugikan kesehatan baik untuk diri sendiri maupun keluarga.

Many housewives use cooking oil repeatedly (used oil) with the excuse of saving. The process of using it repeatedly will created high saturated fat, high saturated fatty acids can cause the formation of cholesterol. The formulation of the problem is how is the level of knowledge and attitudes of housewives about the use of used cooking oil? The aim of the study was to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes of housewives regarding the use of used cooking oil in Talulobutu Village, Tapa Subdistrict, Bone Bolango Regency.
The type of research used was descriptive with a quantitative approach, the population is all housewives in Hamlets I, II and III Talulobutu Village, Tapa Subdistrict Bone Bolango Regency, totaling 370 housewives. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with a total sample of 192 people calculated using the slovin formula. Data was collected by questionnaire which was then analyzed univariately.
The results of the study showed that respondents had good (30.2%), sufficient (47.9%) and less (51.9%) knowledge, as well as housewives who had a positive attitude (72.4%) and negative attitude (27.6%). In conclusion, most of the housewives in Talulobutu Village, Tapa Subdistrict, Bone Bolango Regency are knowledgeable enough and mostly have a positive attitude about using used cooking oil. It is hoped that housewives will reduce and even eliminate the habit of using used cooking oil that has been used more than twice because this can be detrimental to health for both themselves and their families.
