Oktavianisa Ayuba, 811416044, 2020, Hubungan Status Gizi Dan Kepatuhan Minum Obat Anti Diabetik Oral Dengan Kadar Gula Darah Pada Pasien DM Tipe-2 Di Puskesmas Kabila. Skripsi. Pembimbing I Dr. Laksmyn Kadir, S.Pd, M.Kes Dan Pembimbing II Ekawaty Prasetya S.Si, M.Kes. Jurusan Kesehatan Masyarakat, Fakultas Olahraga Dan Kesehatan, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo.

Diabetes Mellitus type-2 is a metabolic disorder that causes an increase in blood sugar due to impaired insulin function (resistance). Diabetes is a non- infectious disease whose incidence continues to increase in Indonesia. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is a relationship between nutritional status and medication with blood sugar level in patients of DM type-2 at Kabila Health Center.
The research objective was to determine the relationship of nutritional status and medication compliance with blood sugar level in patients of DM type-2 at Kabila Health Center. This research was quantitative with a Cross Sectional-Study design. The population was patients of Prolanis (Chronic Disease Management Program) with DM type-2 at Kabila Public Health Center. The sample was determined using accidental sampling with a total of 61 respondents. The data were analyzed using Chi-Square Test.
The result of the nutritional status variable was, from 35 DM type-2 patients (57.4%) with fat nutritional status, there were 27 respondents (77.1%) who experienced high blood sugar levels. Then for the variable of medication compliance, from 27 DM-Type patients (44.3%) who had a low level of medication compliance, there were 24 respondents (88.9%) who experienced high blood sugar levels.
In conclusion, there was a relationship between the nutritional status (p 0,000) and oral anti-diabetic medication compliance (p = 0,000) with blood sugar levels of DM type-2 patients at Kabila Health Center. It is recommended that the community increase self-awareness in conducting regular medical checks. Further researchers can look at other factors that affect blood sugar, levels, Health centers can add counseling and socialization programs so that they can encourage patients in body weight management and be more compliant in carrying out medication.
