Status gizi umumnya dipengaruhi oleh pola konsumsi seperti dalam halnya pola konsumsi fast food. Fast food dapat diartikan sebagai makanan yang dapat dihidangkan dan dikonsumsi dalam waktu seminimal mungkin yang memiliki sedikit kandungan nutrisi dan juga mengandung jumlah lemak yang besar. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian yaitu Bagaimana pola konsumsi dan frekuensi makan Fast Food terhadap status gizi mahasiswa Fakultas (MIPA). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk Mengetahui gambaran Konsumsi Fast Food terhadap Status Gizi Mahasiswa Fakultas (MIPA) Universitas Negeri Gorontalo.
Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas MIPA sebanyak 97 mahasiswa dengan penetuan sampel menggunakan teknik simple rendom sampling. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat.
Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki status gizi normal. Jenis makanan fast food yang sering di konsumsi mahasiswa adalah gorengan sebanyak 10 mahasiswa (45.5%) jenis makanan yang jarang di makan adalah sosis sebanyak 1 responden (12.5%), dan yang tidak pernah di konsumsi kentang goreng sebanyak 0 responden (0.0%), status gizi kategori normal sebanyak 31 responden (66.6%),10 responden (20.8%) kategori kurus dan gemuk 7 responden (14.9%). Saran atau rekomendasi mahasiswa Fakultas (MIPA) yaitu dengan adanya penelitian ini perlu menambah informasi terkait masalah fast food dan status gizi sehingga menjadi bahan pertimbangan untuk penangan gizi.

Nutritional status is commonly influenced by consumption patterns, as in the case of fast-food consumption. Fast food can be interpreted as food that can be served and consumed in a minimal amount of time that has little nutritional content, and also contains large amounts of fat. The problem statement that arises in this study is How is the consumption patterns and frequency of eating fast food on the nutritional status of the students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (MIPA)? This study aims to determine the description of Fast Food Consumption on the Nutritional Status of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (MIPA).
This study is classified as a descriptive study where the populations are 97 students of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science. The samples are determined by using simple random sampling and the data analysis applies univariate analysis.
The research findings show that most of the students have normal nutritional status. The type of fast food that is often consumed by students is fried food amounted to 10 respondents (45,5%), rarely consumed is sausages which is 1 respondent (12,5%), and none of respondent (0.0%) has ever eaten French fries. In regards of nutritional status, 31 respondents (66,6%) are in the normal category, 10 respondents (20.8%) are in the thin category, and 7 respondents (14.9%) are in the fat category. Thus, it is recommended that studen at Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science should enhance information related to the problem of fast food consumption and nutritional status so that it becomes a consideration for nutritional status treatment.
