Penyakit gangguan fungsi paru akibat debu industri semen mempunyai gejala dan tanda yang mirip dengan penyakit paru lain yang tidak disebabkan oleh debu di tempat kerja. Penegakan diagnosis perlu dilakukan dengan tepat karena penyakit gangguan fungsi paru timbul setelah paparan debu dalam jangka waktu yang cukup lama. Paparan debu jangka pendek walaupun dengan konsentrasi rendah dapat mengganggu kesehatan pernapasan, salah satunya adalah ISPA.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian gangguan fungsi paru pada pekerja pengangkut semen di PT. Bangunan Jaya Sentosa Gorontalo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 40 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paparan debu (p = 0.042) umur (p = 0.028), masa kerja (p = 0.011), dan kebiasaan merokok (p = 0.027) memiliki pengaruh terhadap kejadian gangguan fungsi paru, sedangkan untuk penggunaan APD (p = 0.689) tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap kejadian gangguan fungsi paru.
Saran agar para pekerja pengangkut semen menggunakan alat pelindung diri berupa masker saat bekerja maupun saat berada di sekitar area gudang penyimpanan semen, dan rutin untuk mengganti masker tersebut. Selain itu, pihak perusahaan disarankan untuk melakukan pengecekan fungsi paru secara berkala sehingga dapat diketahui apabila ada pekerja yang mengalami gangguan fungsi paru.

Pulmonary function disorders caused by dust from the cement industry have symptoms and signs which are similar to other lung diseases that are not caused by dust in the workplace. Establishing a diagnosis needs to be done correctly because lung function disorders arise after exprosure to dust for a long period of time. Short-term dust exposure, even at low concentrations, can interfere with respiratory health, one of which is acute respiratory infections (ARI).
This study aims to determine the factors that influence the incidence of pulmonary function disorders in cement transport workers at PT. Jaya Sentosa Building, Gorontalo. This research is correlation research with quantitative research. The number of samples is 40 people with a sampling technique of total sampling
The results showed that dust exposure (p = 0.042), age (p = 0.028), years of working (p = 0.011), and smoking habits (p = 0.027) had an influence on the incidence of pulmonary function disorders, while the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) (p = 0.689) had no effect on the incidence of pulmonary function disorders.
It is suggested for cement transport workers to use personal protective equipment in the form of masks when working around the cement storage warehouse area, as well as to replace the masks regularly. In addition, the company is advised to check lung function regularly. This, it can be identified earlier if there are workers who have pulmonary function disorders.
