Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat adanya daya hambat sari labu air terhadap bakteri Salmonella tyhposa dan untuk mengetahui berapa besar daya hambat sari labu air terhadap bakteri Salmonella tyhposa. Metode yang digunakan untuk uji daya hambat ini adalah metode difusi lempeng agar (difusi cakram) menggunakan sari buah labu air dengan konsentrasi 40%, 60%, 80% dan kontrol aquadest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sari buah labu air dengan konsentrasi 40%, 60%, 80% dan kontrol aquadest tidak menghasilkan zona hambatan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sari buah labu air tidak dapat menghambat pertumbuhan Salmonella thyposa.

This study airms are to look at the inhibition effect of the cernel of fruit labu air towards the growth of Salmonella thyposa and what extend the power of cernel of the fruit labu air against Salmonella thyposa. The method was used by testing the inhibition power which is a plate diffusion method in order (diffusion discs) using the extract with different concentration of 40%, 60%, 80% and controls aquadest. The result showed that the cernel of fruit labu air with concentration of 40%, 60%, 80% and controls aquadest not produced a inhibition zone. In conclusion that cernel of fruit labu air can not inhibit the growth of Salmonella thyposa.
