Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya bakteri Escherichia coli yang terdapat pada air minum isi ulang yang dijual oleh penjual air minum isi ulang di Kota Gorontalo. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode observasi langsung, pengambilan sampel dengan mengambil sampel air minum isi ulang pada penjual yang berbeda di Kota Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa air minum isi ulang yang diperoleh dari lima depot air minum yang berbeda di Kota Gorontalo, kelimanya mengandung cemaran bakteri Escherichia coli yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan yang ditetapkan berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No. 492 tahun 2010.

Implementation of this study aims to determine the presence of Escherichia coli bacteria found in drinking water refills are sold by the seller refill drinking water in the city of Gorontalo. Research method used direct observation, sampling by taking samples of drinking water refill at a different seller in the city of Gorontalo. The results obtained that refill drinking water obtained from five different water depot in the city of Gorontalo, the fifth containing Escherichia coli bacteria contamination that does not meet the requirements set by the Minister of Health Regulation No.. 492 in 2010.
