Madu merupakan salah satu tanaman yang memiliki senyawa golongan fenol seperti pinocembrin yang efektif sebagai antioksidan tinggi. Pemanfaatan efek antioksidan pada kulit akan baik bila diformulasikan menjadi bentuk sediaan topikal salah satunya dalam bentuk masker wajah rinse-off. Dalam formulasi masker wajah rinse-off dari madu, sifat fisik sediaan dipengaruhi oleh basis hidrokoloid seperti Gelatin dan Na-CMC. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi basis Gelatin dan Na-CMC terhadap sifat fisika masker wajah madu rinse-off.Diketahui hasil pengaruh kombinasi basisnya, digunakan variasi konsentrasi yaitu Gelatin (FI) 3 %, (FII) 2,5 %, (FIII) 2 % dan Na-CMC (FI) 2,5 %, (FII) 5 %, (FIII) 10 %, yang kemudian dibuat menjadi sediaan masker wajah dan dievaluasi sifat fisika serta diamati organoleptisnya. Evaluasi tersebut meliputi uji viskositas, uji daya sebar, uji waktu mengering sediaan, dan pH.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan konsentrasi Na-CMC dalam formula berpengaruh terhadap viskositas yang semakin besar, daya sebar yang semakin berkurang.Hasil evaluasi formula masker wajah madu rinse-offdapat disimpulkan bahwa formula II merupakan formula yang terbaik dengan konsentrasi Gelatin 2,5 % dan Na-CMC 5 %

Honey is one of drinks having phenol compound group such as pinocembrin that is effective as high antioxidant. The benefit of antioxidant effect in the skin will be good if it is formulated into topical dosage form such as rinse off face mask using hydrocolloid base i.e. gelatin and Na CMC.The aim of this study was to know effect of gelatin and Na CMC combination base towards physical properties of honey face mask. On this research, honey was formulated into face mask utilizing base combination of gelatin and Na CMC in different concentration i.e. F1 3% : 2,5%, F2 2,5% : 5%, and F3 2% : 10%. Then all of formulas were made face mask and evaluated physical properties by organoleptic test, viscosity test, dispersive power test, time to dry on skin and pH. The result showed that the increase of Na CMC concentration in each formula caused thick viscosity and the decrease of dispersive power. The evaluation result of honey face mask rinse-off can be concluded that formula II was the best of all formulas with concentration of gelatin and Na CMC 2,5% : 5%.
