Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai efek pemberian ekstrak kulit buah manggis (Garcinia mangostana L.) terhadap tukak lambung mencit yang diinduksikan aspirin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh ekstrak etanol kulit buah manggis sebagai penyembuhan tukak lambung dan mengetahui konsentrasi yang paling signifikan memberikan efek penyembuhan tukak lambung pada mencit jantan yang diinduksikan aspirin 0,195% b/v. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian true eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan post test only contro grup Dilakukan delapan belas ekor mencit jantan dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok (3 mencit / kelompok). Setiap kelompok perlakuan menerima aspirin 0,195% b/v selama 7 hari sebagai penginduksi ulkus dan kelompok kontrol positif dan negatif masing-masing mendapat simetidin 0,078% b/v dan Na-CMC 1% b/v. Pada hari ke-8 dilanjutkan dengan ekstrak kulit buah manggis selam 3 hari untuk semua kelompok. Hari ke-11 seluruh hewan dimatikan dan lambung dikeluarkan kemudian diamati skor tukak lambung makroskopis. Analisa statistik menggunakan uji parametrik One Way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Ekstrak etanol kulit buah manggis 15% b/v memiliki pencegahan ulkus lebih efektif pada tukak lambung mencit bila dibandingkan dengan kelompok ekstrak yang lain dan tidak jauh berbeda dengan skor tukak lambung yang dimiliki kelompok positif simetidin.

Has done research about the effects of granting skin extract fruit mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana l.) against the male mice peptic ulcers, one of aspirin. The purpose of this research is to know the existence of the influence of ethanol extract of mangosteen rind as healing peptic ulcers and know the most significant concentration of effect healing peptic ulcers in male mice, one aspirin 0.195% b/v. The design of the research is the research of true experimental designs using post test only contro group Conducted eighteen tail male mice were divided into 6 groups (3 mice/group). Each treatment group receiving aspirin 0.195% b/v for 7 days as a penginduksi ulcer and positive and negative control group each got 0.078 simetidin% b/v and Na-CMC 1% b/v. On day 8 continued with extract of mangosteen fruit skin diving 3 days for all groups. The 11th day of the entire animal is turned off and the stomach are removed then the observed score macroscopic peptic ulcers. Statistical analysis using parametric One Way ANOVA test. The results showed the ethanol extract of mangosteen fruit skin 15% b/v have prevention more effective ulcer peptic ulcers in mice when compared with other extracts and not much different with a score of peptic ulcers which belonged to the Group of positive simetidin.
