Penggunaan obat-obatan golongan Anti Inflamasi Non Streoid (AINS) seperti aspirin mengakibatkan adanya peningkatan sekresi asam lambung yang menyebabkan kerusakan pada lambung seperti tukak lambung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efek pemberian ekstrak etanol bunga tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus L.) terhadap penyembuhan tukak lambung mencit (Mus musculus) yang diakibatkan oleh aspirin. Desain penelitian ini adalah true eksperimental (The post test only controlled group design). Bunga tapak dara diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi dimana ekstrak dibagi dalam 3 konsentrasi berbeda yaitu 5% b/v, 10% b/v, dan 15% b/v. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan mencit jantan (Mus musculus) berjumlah 18 ekor yang dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok dan setiap kelompok terdiri dari 3 ekor mencit jantan. Kelompok I diberikan aspirin 0,195%. Kelompok II diberikan NaCMC 1%, sebagai kontrol negatif. Kelompok III diberikan ranitidin 0,0585% sebagai kontrol positif. Sedangkan kelompok IV, V, dan VI adalah kelompok perlakuan yang diberi suspensi ekstrak etanol bunga tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus L.) 5% b/v, 10% b/v, dan 15% b/v. Perlakuan diberikan secara oral kemudian diamati adanya tukak pada lambung mencit. Tukak lambung dihitung dan diskor berdasarkan jumlah dan tingkat keparahan tukak. Data skor dianalisis menggunakan analisis data ANOVA satu arah dengan (0,05) dan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak etanol bunga tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus L.) 15% b/v memberikan hasil yang paling baik diantara semua kelompok dalam hal penyembuhan tukak lambung pada mencit jantan (Mus musculus) dengan persentase pengobatan adalah 73,20%.

The use of the Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) like Aspirin causing on increase the secretion of gastric acid that cause damage to stomach such as peptic ulcers. This research aims to test the effects of ethanol extracts of vinca rosea flowers (Catharanthus roseus L.) against the healing of peptic ulcer on mice (Mus musculus) caused by aspirin. The design of this research is the true experimental (The post test only controlled group design). Vinca rosea flowers extracted by maceration method which are divided in 3 different concentration that is 5% b/v, 10% b/v, and 15% b/v. Research conducted using male mice (Mus musculus) totaled 18 tail which divided into six group and each group consists of 3 male mice. Group I was given aspirin 0,195%. Group II given NaCMC 1%, as a negative control. Group III given ranitidine 0,0585%, as positive controls. Whereas the group IV, V, and VI is a treatment group was given the suspension of ethanol extract of vinca rosea flowers (Catharanthus roseus L.) 5% b/v, 10% b/v, and 15% b/v. Treatment is given orally and then observed the existence of ulcer on gastric mice. Peptic ulcers are calculated and score by the number and severity of the ulcer. The data were analyzed using One Way ANOVA with (0,05) and the level of confidence is 95%. The results showed the ethanol extract of vinca flowers (Catharanthus roseus L.) 15% b/v gives the best results among all the groups in terms of healing peptic ulcers in male mice (Mus musculus) and the percentage of treatment is 73,20%.
