Beras merah (Oriza nivara) merupakan beras yang kaya serat dan minyak alami. Warna merah pada beras terbentuk dari pigmen antosianin yang dikandunganya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk memformulasikan sediaan lipstik beras merah sebagai pewarna alami dengan konsentrasi yang beragam . Pada penelitian ini dilakukan ekstraksi beras merah dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol, kemudian ekstrak diuapkan sehingga diperoleh ekstrak kental beras merah. Formula sediaan lipstik terdiri dari oleum ricini, cera alba, setil alcohol,paraffin padat, carnauba wax, propilenglikol, titanium dioksida, BHT, metal paraben,serta penambahan pewarna ekstrak beras merah dengan konsentrasi 0,25%, 0,5% dan 1%. Pengujian terhadap sediaan lipstik ekstrak beras merah meliputi evaluasi organoleptik, evaluasi homogenitas, evaluasi daya sebar, evaluasi kekuatan sediaan, evaluasi iritasi dan evaluasi hodonik. Lipstik ekstrak beras merah menunjukkan sediaan yang stabil selama 4 minggu, memiliki warna yang menarik, bentuk sediaan yang padat, homogen, mudah dioleskan dengan rata, memiliki kekuatan sediaan yang tidak mudah patah, tidak menyebabkan iritasi dan sediaan yang lebih banyak disukai adalah sediaan lipstik ekstrak beras merah yang mengahasilkan warna merah muda menyala dengan konsentrasi 0,5%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak beras merah dapat digunakan sebagai pewarna dalam sediaan lipstick, sediaan stabil selama penyimpanan, dan tidak menyebabkan iritasi sehingga aman digunakan.

Red rice (Oriza nivara) rice is rich in fiber and natural oils. The color red on anthocyanin pigments are formed from rice that is dikandunganya. The purpose of this research is to formulate preparations namely lipstick red rice as natural coloring with concentration. This research was conducted on the extraction of red rice by the method of maceration using solvent ethanol, then extract was evaporated so obtained extract thick red rice. Lipstick formula preparations consisting of oleum ricini, cera alba, Cetyl alcohol, carnauba wax, paraffin solid, propilenglikol, titanium dioxide, BHT, metal paraben, and the addition of a dye extract red rice with a concentration of 0.25%, 0.5% and 1%. Testing against a lipstick red rice extract preparations include organoleptik evaluations, evaluation of its homogeneity, the evaluation of the power spread, the evaluation of the strength of the material, evaluation hodonik evaluation and irritation. Lipstick red rice extract showed a stable dosage for 4 weeks, has an interesting color, shape of the hectic preparations, homogenized, easily smeared with averages, not preparations have the strength that break easily, does not cause irritation and more preferred stocks are stocks of red rice extract lipstick mengahasilkan pink blazing with a concentration of 0.5%. Thus, it can be concluded that the extract of red rice can be used as a dye in the material of lipstick, stable during storage, preparation and does not cause irritation so it is safe to use.
