Madeira-vine (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steenis) is a plant that contains flavonoids compound serving as antibacterial against bacteria Shigella sp dan Bacillus subtilis. This research aims to determine the extract comparison of green madeira-vine leaves and red madeira-vine leaves (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steenis) in inhibiting the growth of bacteria Shigella sp and bacteria Bacillus subtilis and also to determine the significant differences of its effectiveness between the extract of green madeira-vine leaves and the red madeira-vine leaves in inhibiting the growth of bacteria shigella sp and bacteria Bacillus subtilis. The method used in this research is laboratory experimental. The results of the green madeira-vine leaves extract against bacteria Shigella sp are at concentration of 25% is obtained 13,66 mm, at concentration of 50% is 17 mm, and at concentration of 75% is 19 mm. While the results of the green leaves extract against bacteria Bacillus subtilisis are at concentration of 25% is obtained 10,66 mm, at concentration of 50% is 17 mm, and at concentration of 75% is 19,33 mm. In other side, the results of red madeira-vine leaves extract against bacteria Shigella sp are at concentration of 25% is obtained 14,33 mm, at concentration of 50% is 18,33 mm, and at concentration of 75% is 21,33 mm. While the results of the red extract leaves against bacteria Bacillus subtilisis are at concentration of 25% is obtained 12 mm, at concentration of 50% is 14,66 mm, and at concentration of 75% is 16,66 mm.
