Kulit kering terjadi karena hilangnya atau berkurangnya kelembaban pada stratum korneum. Kulit kering dapat diatasi dengan menggunakan pelembap. Madu adalah bahan alam yang berasal dari hewan jenis lebah, madu ini mengandung air, glukosa, fruktosa, sukrosa, asam amino (pembentuk protein), asam lemak. Selain itu, madu memelihara jaringan epitel internal dan memperlancar sirkulasi sehingga mecegah kulit kering. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara memperoleh formula terbaik gel facial wash dengan bahan dasar madu murni dan mengetahui hasil uji evaluasi fisik dari sediaan. Penelitian ini bersifat experimental laboratorium dimana dibuat 3 formula dengan memvariasikan carbopol 940 (1%, 1,5% dan 2%) sebagai gelling agent. Hasil uji organoleptis menunjukkan parameter aroma, warna tidak berbeda nyata antar formula, perbedaan konsistensi bentuk pada sediaan terihat pada formula 1 (cair) sedangkan formula 2 (kental dan formula 3 (sangat kental). Hasil evaluasi basis menunjukkan formula 2 dengan carbopol 1,5 % menghasilkan facial wash gel yang paling baik dibandingkan dengan formula 1 dan 3. Evaluasi sediaan memperoleh hasil bahwa formula 2 dengan carbopol 1,5% dan madu 6% memliki sifat fisik yang baik.

ABSTRACT
Dry skin occurs due to loss or lack of moisture in stratum corneum. Dry skin can be treated by using a moisturizer. In addition, honey is a natural ingredient produced by honeybees, and it contains water, glucose, fructose, sucrose, amino acids (forming proteins), and fatty acids. At the same time, honey nourishes the internal epitherial tissue ans improves circulation, thereby preventing dry skin. Thus, the study aimed to figure out how to obtain the best formulation of facial wash gel made from pure honey and to determine the results of the physical evaluation test of the preparation. This research was an experimental laboratory in which three formulas were made by varying carbopol 940 (1%, 1,5%, and 2%) as a gelling agent.the results of the organoleptic test indicated that the parameters of aroma and color were not significantly different among the formula. In the meantime, the difference in the consistency of the shape of the preparation was observable from formula 1 was liquid, while formula 2 was thick and formula 3 was very thick. Basic evaluation results signified that formula 2 with 1,5% carbopol produced the best facial wash compared to formula 1 and formula 3. In comparison, the evaluation of preparation proved that formula 2 with 1,5% carbopol and 6% honey had good physical properties.
