Interaksi obat dapat terjadi pada penulisan resep secara bersamaan sehingga dapat membuat kerja obat pertama dapat memperkuat atau memperlemah, memperpanjang atau memperpendek kerja obat kedua. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran interaksi obat pada resep pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 pada pasien rawat jalan di RSUD Prof Dr. H. Aloei Saboe Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan rancangan cross sectional, dengan jumlah resep sebanyak 73 resep pasien. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar pengumpulan data dan dikaji berdasarkan buku pedoman drug interaction fact, medscape.com dan drug.com yang dianalisis menggunakan metode univariat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan obat antidiabetik oral pada pasien rawat jalan di RSUD Prof Dr. H. Aloei Saboe Kota Gorontalo adalah obat tunggal biguanid (metformin) (63%), sulfonilurea (glimepirid) (20.5%). Penggunaan kombinasi 2 macam obat metformin dan glimepirid (11%) dan kombinasi metformin dan gliklazid (5.5%). Untuk mekanisme interaksi unknow (58,3%), farmakodinamik (33,3%), dan farmakokinetik sebanyak (8,3%). Pada tingkat keparahan interaksi moderate (91,7%), minor (4,2%), dan major (4,2%).

Drug interactions can occur simultaneously in the presciption so that action of the first drug can dominate or be dominated, prolong or shorten the action of the Drug interactions can occur simultaneously in the prescription so action of second drug. This study aims to know the description of drug interactions in the prescription for outpatients with diabetes mellitus type 2 at RSUD Prof. Dr. H. Aloci Saboe Gorontalo City. This is a descriptive study using a cross sectional design with total of 73 prescriptions. The instrument employed is data collection sheet and studied based on the guidebook of drug interaction fact, medscape.com, and drug.com which are then analyzed by using the univariate method. The study finding indicates that the use of oral antidiabetic drug in outpatients at RSUD Prof. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe is a single drug biguanide (metformin) (63%) and sulfonylurea (glimepiride) (20.5 %). There is a combination of 2 drugs metformin and glimepiride (11%) and a combination of metformin and gliclazide (5.5 % ). As for the mechanism, the interactions are unknown (58.3%), pharmacodynamic (33.3%), and pharmacokinetic (8.3). At the severity, the interaction are moderate (91.7%), minor (4.2%), and major (4.2%).
